About Me

Hi, I’m Tessa, founder of Problem Solved Home Solutions, LLC.

Amidst a group of relatives at a family gathering, one asked if I would help them declutter their garage after a home remodel. They liked how their updated home had a place for everything, mentioning the amazing feeling of opening their hall closet to have nothing fall out (as was previously the case) and containing only the linens they currently used. They were now hesitant to put anything else from the garage back inside unless it was needed and wanted. But, doing it alone felt daunting. During the conversation, I commented, “When we have less stuff, our brains can breathe.” Others in the group nodded in agreement, noting how good that sounded.

I believe time to be an invaluable resource, and I find stuff that doesn’t have a home in my home ends up wasting time. When things pile up, I stuff-shuffle, and my mind becomes a mess. But when I use systems for decluttering and organizing, I find freedom to do what I enjoy - editing family movies, playing piano, sitting on our patio, browsing vintage stores with my husband.

I know the value of asking others for help. Sometimes I want to let go of an item, but sentimentality makes it difficult to do so. Even if I don’t actually want the item, I still phone a friend (usually my husband) for assurance that it’s okay. Other times, I need someone to remind me that it’s alright to keep an item when it doesn’t make sense to do so - just because I’m not ready to let go.

That’s why I’m here - to provide hands on assistance for your organizational needs and to offer simple tips to help you maintain systems that work for your unique lifestyle.
